Nasal Hump

The most common request in rhinoplasty is surgical removal of the nasal hump. However, each hump is different, as the angle between the nose and the forehead, the position of the tip, the junction between the tip and the upper lip are different. For example, a falling tip tends to accentuate an otherwise irrelevant hump, while an obtuse nose-forehead angle reduces its visual impact. Our surgical philosophy revolves around the concept of “nasal profiloplasty” where the removal of the hump is only one (sometimes, technically the less challenging) of several balanced surgical steps aiming at the restoration of a balanced nasal profile.
