Saddle Nose

Saddle nose is often characterized by a loss of height of the nasal profile, frequently associated with rear projection, lowering, and crushing of the tip. The saddle nose is usually caused by trauma, infection (abscess of the nasal septum), or excessive removal of the supporting structures. The correction consists of the reconstruction of the entire nasal skeleton with autologous cartilaginous grafts, taken from the ear or the ribs of the same subject.
